The Product

Why is the church in the West so bad at actively and consistently sharing their Product (the Gospel) with people?

Let’s get right to it.

Do you really believe your Product (the Gospel) is …

True?

Good for people?

Good News for people to hear?

Helpful to people?

The Only answer to a person’s problem between themself and God?

The Only way to make someone right with their Creator?

The Only way to the Father and Heaven?

The Only solution to the problem of Eternal Suffering?

The Power to make a person a New Creation? To take a person from being dead to being alive?

In the Best Interest of each person to surrender to it?

Do you really believe your Product (the Gospel) is …

The ONLY permanent solution to ALL the problems in society and the world?

The ONLY way to permanently change your community?

What Everyone deserves the opportunity to hear and respond to it?

Do you believe the following are true about your Product (the Gospel)?

“ … it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.” (Romans 1:16)

“There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.” (Act 4:12)

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.” (John 3:16 +18)

A more personal question regarding your Product (the Gospel):

Have you used your Product?

Are you a satisfied customer of your Product?

Has your Product transformed/changed you?

Has your Product made you into a new person — a new creation?

Or …

Do you only know about your Product?

Do you just go through the expected motions of someone who has used your Product? But you’ve never actually used your Product on yourself?

You’ve never really bought into yourProduct (the Gospel)?

You can talk ABOUT your Product but you have no personal experience WITH your Product?

Since You’re Not a User of Your Own Product (The Gospel) …

You’re not excited and motivated to share your Product with others.

You are finding it hard to share (sell) a Product you haven’t used yourself.

If you don’t believe in your Product then you’re not going to push yourself to share it.

You’re not going to put yourself out there to experience possible rejection. To be ostracized by family, friends, and others.

You’re not going to push yourself outside of your comfort zone in order to provide others the opportunity to experience your Product.

Back to the original question …

Do you believe in your Product?

Has Your Product (the Gospel) transformed you into a new creation?

Has Your Product (the Gospel) taken you from being dead to being alive?

When you look into another person’s eyes, are you confident that if this person doesn’t: (1)hear about your Product (the Gospel) and (2) surrender to Jesus (Use your Product) … then they are headed a to a never ending existence of suffering?

How Would a Person Live Who Believed in Your Product (the Gospel)?

If you say you believe in your Product then are you living like you believe in your Product (the Gospel)?

What would a person’s life look like who believes in their Product (the Gospel)?

How would a person live that really believed that their Product (the Gospel) was …

True?

The BEST thing for every person?

The Only Way to make someone right with their creator?

The Only Answer to eternal suffering?

How Would This Person Live?

How would they spend their time?

How would they use the resources they manage?

What would be their primary topic of conversation?

What and How would they think?

Take a few minutes. Write out a description of how that person would live.

There is something about writing that connects with you in a different way than only thinking about it.

Take a few minutes and write it down.

Now … Look at Your Life …

Looking at your written description of how a person would live who believed in your Product (the Gospel).

Ask and honestly answer the following two questions:

1st: Am I living the way I described someone who believes in my Product (the Gospel) would live?

2nd: If not, “Why Am I NOT living that way?”

Is it because …

I don’t really believe in my Product (the Gospel)?

I’m not a user of my Product?

I love me, my public image, my reputation, my own feelings, my own comfort and being liked by others MORE than I believe in my Product?

Final Thought:

Could it be … that the failure of the church to actively and consistently share the Gospel is because …

Most of those who self-identity as a Christian have never used their own Product? They have never experienced the results of their own Product (the Gospel).

That most self-identified Christian are being asked to share (sell) a product they don’t know actually works?

It’s hard to share about (sell) a Product you don’t have confidence in … Isn’t it?

Next Steps to Developing God’s Heart:

Two Questions for you To Think About:

1st Based on What God Has Shown Me…What Am I Going to Do About It? — (Loving People)

2nd Who Am I Going to Share my Product with? — (Loving People)

Spend some time with God and listen to what He shows you in response to those questions. Then DO what He says.
